Modes
Choose where the creator’s 60% of the fee goes. Open modes are Creator and Holders claim. Burns are not live yet.
Mode only changes who gets the creator share. The market, lock, and 1% / 2% / 3% fee stay the same. Fees are always the pair quote (ETH, USDC, $BASECAT, a wrapped major, or a stock token such as AAPL) — never the new coin.

| Mode | What happens to the creator share | Use it when |
|---|---|---|
| Creator | You (or a small team split) claim the quote. | You want to earn fees in the pair asset. |
| Holders claim (Rewards) | Holders claim the same quote on Profile or the coin Fees tab. | You want holders paid in the pair asset as people trade. |
Protocol (30%) and referrer (10%) do not change with mode.
Rewards mode is ongoing quote claims for whoever holds the coin. An AAPL pair pays AAPL; an ETH pair pays ETH. Selling without claiming forfeits pending amounts.
This is not:
- BASE 1 Rewards points on
/rewards(the future platform-token track) - A first-buy airdrop (a one-time send of the new coin at launch)

These cards stay on Create so the routing is visible. They cannot be selected until factory swaps and burn adapters are live.
| Mode | What it will do | What it is not today |
|---|---|---|
| Burn this coin | Self-burner claims the quote, buys this coin, sends it to 0xdead. | No buy-and-burn. The adapter reverts until swaps are live. |
| Burn $BASECAT | Creator slice is credited in the pair quote, then a converter can buy $BASECAT. | Not a 100% $BASECAT burn of the creator slice, especially on a stock pair. Convert (when live) is ops 70% / $BASECAT 30%. |
Team split (Creator mode only)
You can split creator fees across 2–4 wallets. Shares must add to 100%. That split freezes at launch.
Community takeover
The original launcher address stays on the coin. Only fee claim rights can move, in two steps: the current owner proposes, the new wallet accepts. Announcements follow the current fee owner.
The fee owner can also send the creator share to the $BASECAT-burn recipient forever. That cannot be undone. Until the converter adapter is live, that recipient is the protocol/converter — still quote, not an instant $BASECAT burn.
A takeover does not unlock liquidity or allow minting.
